The National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), in partnership with A UK Trade and Infrastructure Enterprise Limited (AUKTIE), successfully delivered a ten-day Executive Knowledge Exchange Programme and UK Study Visit from 22nd June to 3rd July, 2026, at Coventry University, United Kingdom.
The programme was designed to strengthen institutional capability in enterprise database management through intensive training on PostgreSQL Database Fundamentals, Performance Optimisation and Enterprise Administration, while exposing participants to international best practices in digital government, public sector innovation, and data-driven service delivery.
The programme combined classroom learning, technical workshops, expert-led discussions, institutional visits and executive networking sessions, providing participants with practical knowledge applicable to Nigeria’s evolving social protection ecosystem.
It addressed the growing need for resilient enterprise database systems supporting the National Social Register while exposing participants to internationally recognised approaches in integrated public services, innovation ecosystems, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and organisational transformation.
The study visit provided participants with opportunities to engage with institutions and professionals delivering digital transformation initiatives within the United Kingdom. Key areas explored included:
